How To Check If You Are Registered For Covid 19 Vaccination

I am pretty sure that most of you reading this have registered with MySejatera App for the Covid-19 Vaccination Program.

This vaccination program is not an easy task and we are sure to face many hiccups initially just like other countries. Our Vaccination program is more complicated as we are administrating different types of vaccines which means the probabilities of mistakes will be higher. Anyway, I would like to thank the smartest Malaysia Minister in charge of the vaccination program, YB Khairy Jamaluddin for his efforts and personally going down to the floor (which he does not need to do so) to assist on the vaccination process.

For those of you who have taken the initiative to be vaccinated with AZ (which was optional this month, i.e. May 2021), I salute you. You should also thank YB Khairy Jamaluddin for allowing you to jump Q ahead of older and more vulnerable people.

And we Malaysians may soon get to choose which vaccine we want (announced on 27th May). Update 6pm @ 30 May 2021 – Khairy says Malaysians won’t be able to choose their preferred Covid-19 vaccine after all

For those who are like me waiting for my Appointment Date via MySejahtera App, you better check if you are in the system for the vaccination program.

Step1 – Goto Malaysia Government Official Website for Covid 19 Vaccination

Click here to and you will see below image.

Then click/tap on SEMAK (or CHECK under English option).

Step 2 – Key in your NRIC No. and Mobile Number

Make sure you key in the same exact mobile number which you used for your MySejahtera App.

Step 3 – Results

In Progress: I registered back in February and as of date (end May) it is still in process!

Confirm Appointment Date: I registered for my mum and dad on the last week in May and they already have an appointment for 1st Dose in June. This shows the system really prioritize the elderly.

NOT IN SYSTEM: Call the Hotline 1800888828

Some of you may have registered with MySejahtera App but may get the message below stating that you are NOT IN THE SYSTEM!

If this is the case:

  1. Recheck by keying in your NRIC and Mobile Number. Makes sure it is the same mobile number as that registered with MySejahtera App.
  2. If you again get the same NOT IN SYSTEM message, call the Hotline to manually register for the vaccination.

Even if you are vaccinated, it does not mean that you will not be infected with the Covid-19 Virus. Most who have been vaccinated however do not experience any serious effects when infected. HOWEVER, a person who is vaccinated can still spread the virus to others!!! So wear a mask every time you go out even if you have been vaccinated!!! Don’t be selfish and put others at risk!!!

More Important PSA: So if you think you can go travel after you are vaccinated, you better get your facts right.

Fact No.1: The virus is still mutating and the vaccination is only effective for few months and you may need a booster shot again.

Fact No.2: You can still be infected with the Covid-19 virus (once again it is mutating).

Fact No.3: Most insurance policies EXCLUDE Pandemic. Which means if you are sick overseas with the Covid-19, you are going to be faced with massive headaches on medical bills!!!
