In the previous page I mentioned Omicron is causing havoc in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022 where many flights were cancelled worldwide and it will take a month or two be fore it peak and then there may be other strains emerging.

And Singapore Airlines being one of the best airline in the world has once again proven that they do care for their ustomers, and in particular their KrisFlyer Miles fans.

Once again, here is the link to check for announcement in regards to extension of KrisFlyer Miles.

At the link above, click on Extension of expiring KrisFlyer miles [NEW] and you will see the latest chart on the extension of expiry date.

The above chart also applies to miles that have been previously extended. For example, miles that originally expire in January 2022 will be extended by 6 months to July 2022. In July 2022, these same miles will then be extended by another 6 months to January 2023.

So from the above, he earliest one KrisFlyer Miles will expire is in Jan 2023!

So with the extension to 2023, you do not need to worry about having any miles expiring in 2022!

What can I say, Singapore Airlines is the best!

However, the question is this, in 2023 will Singapore Airlines still be operating their A380 or retire them? Many who book their flights with Singapore Airlines Suite Class on A380 for flight in 2022 were later informed that the plane for their flight has been switched to A350 which only offers Business Class!

Gold Elite Status

As shown in Page 1, you can obtain Gold Elite Status if you convert your Credit Car Rewards Points to 250K KrisFlyer Miles before end Feb 2022.

Below are the clauses in the link provided above under Extension of KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Gold membership (with membership start date from March 2022 to February 2023) [NEW]:

I have successfully accrued sufficient Elite miles to renew my current membership tier on my own. Will I now get an extra year of membership in my current tier?

As your KrisFlyer Elite Silver / Elite Gold membership will be automatically extended for a third year, any Elite miles earned through air and non-air accruals during your current qualification cycle will be carried forward to the next qualification cycle starting between March 2022 and February 2023, after your membership year has been extended.

The Elite miles rolled over from your previous membership cycle can be used to count towards your KrisFlyer Elite membership renewal due between March 2023 and February 2024, or to upgrade your membership status.

In respect to the above clauses, if you thinking of converting your CC Reward Points to 500K KrisFlyer one shot, split it up to 250K + 250K where the second batch of 250K KF should only be credited after you have obtained Gold Elite Status from the first conversion.

OR you already have Gold Elite Status, you can convert your CC Reward Points to another 250K KF Miles.

But seriously, if you are redeeming Suite Class or First Class or even Business Class tickets with your KF miles, the status is purely for shiok sendiri, hahaha.
