If you have nothing better to do, then you can waste time playing Shopee App to earn really small money…….. but when accumulated over a year, it can be more than RM120 per phone. If you have 3 phones like me, then we are talking more than RM360 per year 🙂
I myself don’t purchase much stuff from Shopee as I prefer Lazada and in most cases after comparing, I find Lazada cheaper than Shopee!
So I will use the FREE Money earned from the Shopee App to pay my bills. For each bill payment, we can use the coins to offset 25%. Example below, I want to pay RM100 towards my AStro Account, I will then use 2500 Shopee Coins to offset RM25 and end up paying RM75 only. Bros & Sis, 25% cash back…… better than our Maybank 2 Cards Gold/Platinum AMEX 5%!!!
Before I forget, we can’t use AMEX to pay bills as Shopee but we can use AMEX fr purchases.
If you do not have much Shopee Coins, you can consider Lazada to pay your utility bills with the Maybank 2 Cards Gold/Platinum AMEX on weekends at Lazada to earn 5% cash back.
As for the AMEX Reserve, it is now as good as useless for all Local Transactions. So the smart one will go get other AMEX cards from Maybank.
EARNING SHOPEE COINS – FREE MONEY
Step 1 – Tap on the Coins at the Home Page at the centre near the top.
Step 2 – Tap on Earn More Coins
The first time to Tap Earn More Coins you are Checking-In
After to tap to Check-In, you will see another button to Earn More Coins. Tap on it and you will have several options to earn coins. Generally I only tap on Browse Products only. And we can tap the Browse Products more than once per day.
Step 3 – after you Check-In and Browse Product, at the same page shown above, scroll down to the Wheel and tap on Tap For FREE. You will then have several options to earn FREE Spins will will allow you to earn 1 Coins and up to 5 Coins per spin.
Once gain, you can Browse Product more than once here to claim FREE Spins.
Step 4 – Return to Home Page
Step 5 – At the Home Page, tap on Prizes.
Shopee Shake
We can shake twice daily at 12pm and 8pm to earn FREE Coins. And on certain days, i.e. 6.6 ot 12.12 we get to shake more times.
Sometimes I can get more than 40 coins with Shopee Shake at 12pm. However for the 8pm shake I usually get about 5 coins only.
Shopee Farm
I usually select the 5 to 150 coins seed. Most of the time I only get to Harvest 10 coins but once in a blue moon I get 99 coins.
Generally I earn 10 coins every 2 days with Shopee Farm
If you want to 25 coins seed, you need to be quick and select it right after Sunday Midnight.
Match Tile
When it was first launch, there were 2 levels only and the second level was hard for me where I only passed twice and earned 30 to 40 coins.
Today there are 3 Levels and Level 1 and 2 are really easy and if you complete Level 1 and 2 you will earn 1 coin and 3 coins respectively.
As for Level 3, it is good for wasting time, haha.
OTHER GAMES
There are other games such as Candy and Claw but you earn miserable coins and I dont play them.
LIVE VIDEOS
At the bottom of the Home Page, tap on Live Icon and “watch” the videos to earn FREE Coins, Most of the time I will only “watch” videos that earn me minimum 4 coins in 5 minutes. Soometimes we can even get 10 coins for watching a 5 minutes video. I don’t really watch but tap the video and let it play while I do other things and claim the coins after 5 minutes.
Update of Match Tiile Jan 2024
For the Match Tile game, we no longer earn any coin for completing Level 1 and only earn 1 Coin when we complete Level 2 (which is still easy).
