How And Where To Buy Gold And FREE Gold From Your Credit Card Transactions

Gold Bullion

You can easily buy Gold Bullion from Goldsmiths such as Poh Kong or Wah Chan.

Below is the price of 5g Gold Bar from Poh Kong as of 4th Feb 2025:

You can also buy gold bars at Shopee!! Below image from Shopee:

FYI, 999 (24 Karat) gold jewellery is selling for about RM470 per gram (excluding labour) as of 4th Feb at Wah Chan.

So 5 grams of PAMP Suise should technically cost 5XRM470 = RM2350.

If you walk in to a Wah Chan outlet, they may sell you a normal PAMP Suisse 5g Gold Bar for about RM2328 and may be willing to buy your 5g Pamp Suisse at RM1978 – difference of RM350 or difference of about 15%

In respect of the above, isn’t it smarter to purchase PAMP Suisse Gold Bar (trade in 15% less than selling price) compared to Gold Jewellery (up to 25% less than gold price). And based on calculations above for the 5g PAMP God Bar, you also wont lose additional money in terms of labour cost for PAMP Suisse Gold Bar versus Gold Jewellery!

FYI, if you do not need to trade in your PAMP Suisse Gold Bar at most goldsmiths for a new jewellery but you can also get cash for it.

I am now going to tell you that for your non-toxic cash where you have paid taxes, the best place to buy Gold Bullion (with official receipt where you do not need to worry if your gold bar is fake and more importantly your source of funds can be traced so you do not need to worry about money laundering thingy) is at UOB Bank! Below are their Selling and Buying prices as of 4th Feb 2025:

From the above, we will take the 5g as example. UOB is selling 5g PAMP at RM2,255 which is cheaper than Poh Kong or Wah Chan! And more importantly UOB is also paying you better price for the PAMP Suisse compared to Poh Kong or Wah Chan!

For the 5g PAMP, the difference in UOB Bank Selling and Bank Buying is 11.8% which is better than Goldsmiths.

For the 1oz GML/GKN/SLC, UOB Bank is selling at RM12,918 and buying at RM12,488 or difference of 3.33%. Well, it makes more sense to buy 1oz versus 5g in terms of the difference between selling and buying price.

Generally the more the weight, the closer is the price to spot gold price. 1g gold bar is the most expensive.

However, not all UOB branches have stock. If you have a UOB Savings Account where you are issued a Debit Card for their verification purposes, call the UOB Branch to check stock. Generally the HQ at UOB have better chances of getting gold bullion.

You can also buy Gold coins from Maybank:

If you refer to the image above, 1 oz of Kijang Gold Coin cost more than UOB but then again Maybank is also paying you more. For the 1 oz, the difference in Maybank Selling and Bank Buying is 3.95%. Therefore UOB is slightly better….. then again not everyone has an UOB Account but most have Maybank Accounts and you can purchase the Kijang Gold Coins at 30 Maybank branches.
