So How Many Pax Are Eligible For The Upgrade Promo For Non-My Family Account?
To tell you the truth, I cannot confirm if what I am about to present is possible, i.e. upgrade 2 pax or more.
But I searched for 2 pax Economy and there were several options to upgrade to Biz Class.
As you can observe from above image, the Upgrade With Miles Logo appeared for 3 flight options. When I keyed in 4 pax, the option reduced to only one (see below).
So from the above examples, it seems like we can upgrade from Economy to Biz Class for 4 pax – but like I said I cannot confirm as I never tried it.
CONCLUSION
If you have Silver, Gold or Platinum Emirates Skywards Membership Tier, the Classic Rewards to redeem First Class is really fantastic.
However, for those of us who only have Skywards Blue Tier, look like it make more sense to fly Emirates Business Class versus paying RM10K and upgrade to First Class as shown in Option 2. However, like I mentioned in Option 3 above, we may still be able to upgrade to First Class even though we redeemed the Biz Class with Classic Rewards.
The key in utilising Option 2 is make sure it is stated UPGRADE AVAILABLE which is still subjected to First Come First Serve Basis.
Now remember I mentioned that with the Classic Rewards KL to Europe we need to pay about RM4K in addition to the Skywards Points? Well, if you have lots of Skywards Miles you can offset this said payment with your Skywards Points and it will show up while you are redeeming your ticket.
Last but not least, today, if you want Emirates Skywards, you can convert your CIMB Bonus Points or AMEX Membership Rewards Points.
