How To Secure Your Debit Cards and Credit Cards To Prevent Fraudulent Transactions By Scammers and Fraudsters – Freeze Or Your Alliance Bank, CIMB Bank, Hong Leong Bank, RHB Bank and UOB Bank Cards NOW!

If you are my long time die hard follower, you will know that I have reiterated over and over again that my credit cards’ numbers were used by fraudsters over and over again.

This year (2025), my Maybank AMEX, Maybank AMEX-i, CIMB Visa and UOB Visa had fraudulent transactions and therefore new cards were issued after I reported the unauthorized transactions. This can be very troublesome especially if we have an auto-debit instruction(s). Another thing is – what about refunds? For example you are expecting a tax refund to be credited to a specific credit card but you had to block/suspend the card account?!

I have also produced many article instructing all to deactivate their their Debit Cards because if the Debit Card number was used by someone else, the money will be instantly debited from your Current or Savings Account! Most banks allows us to deactivate our Debit Card for transactions and set it as a pure ATM card to withdraw cash in the event of an emergency.

I tell you, it is very common for hackers to steal our personal data including our credit cards’ numbers from banks, financial services, health services, telcos, merchants and etc. The hackers will then sell the stolen information – that is why we get non-stop calls from scammers who may even know our NRIC number and our credit cards being fraudulently used.

And I have shared before that one of My Air Miles Disciple told me that he found his Maybank credit card number in the internet!!!

Recently, I experienced another fraudulent online transaction and had the card suspended and a new card issued. I shared this with My Air Miles Disciples at our WhatsApp Chat Group and then another Sis told me her credit card from the same bank (not Maybank if you must know) was also fraudulently used twice in the last 2 weeks and she did not get any notification until the bank called her to inform her that her card has been blocked!

Oh yes, it is also normal that we may not get any Notification for fraudulent transactions! A few months ago, another of My Air Miles Disciple reported to me that his HLB credit card was used fraudulently but he did not get any notifications and only found out about the unauthorized transactions after he logged into his HLB App and saw the transactions!

In respect to the above said paragraphs, we also need to check our Credit Card Monthly Statements to confirm and reconfirm that there were no unauthorized transactions with our Principal and Supplementary Card too.

FYI, Alliance Bank, RHB and UOB still will send me SMS for transactions used with their cards. Maybank on the other hand will only send Notification via MAE which is damn stupid because I may not have Data 24/7. For example, recently I went on a Great Ocean Road Trip and I had no access to Data with my TnG eSim for Australia (in Melbourne CBD it was good).

Anyway, a couple of My Air Miles Disciples shared with me at WhatsApp the credit cards that we can Freeze and Unfreeze anytime we want.

In respect to the above said paragraph, I decided to produce a YouTube video giving Step By Step Instructions on how to Freeze and Unfreeze Debit Cards and Credit Cards from Alliance Bank via their Online Banking App, CIMB Bank via OCTO App, Hong Leong Bank via their Online Banking App, RHB Bank via their Online Banking App and UOB Bank via their TMRW App.

Without further ado, click here to my Youtube video tilted How To Freeze Block Protect and Secure Your Debit and Credit Cards From Scammers and Fraudsters

From the above video, you will know that somehow we are not allowed to suka-suka Freeze and UnFreeze our Maybank credit cards at MAE App! Well in this respect, the MAE is really useless compared to Alliance Bank, CIMB Bank, HLB Bank, RHB Bank and UOB Bank Apps!

After I uploaded the video to YouTube and posted it and watched it again, I realized I uploaded an older draft that did not have instructions for UOB cards, haha.

Some of you also prefer not to watch videos but read my articles to adsorb carefully the contents of my sharing. In view of this, I decided that I shall post the slides in the above video plus also the UOB instructions starting from PAGE 2.
