This article is mainly for parents and a few young people who are still in secondary school (I doubt any of them will be reading this) wondering what degree to pursue.
If you have a child, I have stated that the No.1 Method of Wealth Preservation is to program/brainwash your child at a young age on what you intend for your child to be when he/she grows up. In other words make sure your child graduates with the right degree so that they won’t bother you for money when you are old!
If you have been reading my articles, you will note that I have mentioned over and over again that one gets better salary in Singapore regardless if you have a degree or not. I have shown in my previous example that rubbish collectors earn close to RM10K per month in Singapore!
Well, here is another interesting youtube video titled How a GRAB rider lives in a 1.4MILLION Villa earning SIX-FIGURES…… of course he must be a Singaporean but he chose to stay in JB and works in SG as a Grab Rider earning more than RM10K per month working 9am to 3pm only!
In respect to the above, I have previously showed you that 350,000 people crossover to Singapore from Malaysia daily!!! Well, I thought only Malaysians stay in JB and work in SG but heck I was wrong as the above youtube shows that Singaporeans do that too!
The point of the above is that – by working in Singapore one can earn much more than working in Malaysia.
Well, we do not wish that our child be Grab Rider or Rubbish Collector because we would rather brag that our child is a doctor or some professional earning big bucks.
Most of you know that I have a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Engineering (non IT related, which means I am also not an Electrical Engineer) from USA but I never had the intention that my children follow my footsteps to be an Engineer. Instead I wanted my children to be either in the medical or IT/Computer industry. Why? Job security lah!
Some of you may recall that I sent my eldest son to USA for an Engineering Degree because he had no ambition and refused to be a doctor….. but after spending a hell of a lot of money for his Bachelor and Masters Degree in Engineering (kind of related to medical field) he finally matured and chose to be a doctor!
My older daughter also had no ambition and refused to be a doctor. So I was happy when she listened to me and pursued a degree in Pharmacy……. but after she graduated from a Top 5 Pharmacy Uni in the world, she said she didn’t like pharmacy!!! So she pursued a Masters Degree in Education. Then Covid hit and after that she refused to work! Well, I am a Hokkien, so it makes no difference to me because the moment she marries, it is no longer my responsibility to take care of her, hahahaha.
My second son graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy and Banking & Finance (from the No.1 Uni in Australia) because during his secondary school he kind of liked Accounting, so I let it be since it is a Professional Degree. However, I told him that there are too many accountants and the future is about IT. Therefore, I was happy that he decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Data Science (with the No.1 IT Uni in Australia). He has been attached to an Investment Bank in HK since he graduated and is working from home (which means he can work from anywhere on earth as long as there is broadband). His work is related to IT and I have no idea what he does because all I see are codes scrolling non-stop on the laptop provided by his company, hahaha.
As for my youngest daughter, well her degree has nothing to do with the medical or IT field as she has set intention to be an Investment Banker at a young age. Like I said….. above are examples of my bragging rights where 3 of my children are working overseas earning big bucks but the older daughter is the smartest as she refuses to work (and I don’t need to take care of her as her boyfriend does that, hahaha).

Today I am going to tell you the best jobs in Singapore that pay the highest salaries besides being a doctor.
From the above link you will note that Fresh Graduates with Law Degrees are pretty well paid. And if you have been reading my articles for years, you will also know that Singapore only recognizes a few universities for Law Degree and if from UK generally the Top 10 Law Schools only!!!
Now, the other top paying jobs besides Law and Medicine related is Computer Science!!!

The Median Salary of fresh graduate from NUS with a Bachelor in Computing (majoring in Computer Science) is more than SGD6K!!! Of course NUS is a World’s Top 5 Uni for Computer Science.
Below is the salary of those working in Malaysia versus in Singapore taken from Payscale websites (you can google IT Job Salary in Malaysia and IT Job Salary in Singapore to confirm the info below):
From the above, you will note that the pay is higher is SG for the same job and we all know that SGD1 is more than MYR3!
All My Air Miles Disciples are Malaysians, and I know at least 5 of my followers are working in Singapore in the IT field, earning big bucks.
Now, I also have many followers and Air Miles Disciples in Malaysia where their work are related to the IT/Computer field and have pretty good income.
I term money related to IT/Computer as new money from nothing, hahaha.
I am sure you are well aware that our country is investing in Data Centres for AI and Cloud Computing.
So Bros & Sis, I tell you, if you are worried about AI replacing human jobs in the future, the best option is to be in the computing field to create the AIs for the future!
