There are Tom Yam Instant Noodles, Cheese Instant Noodles, Chilli Crab Noodle etc. Therefore, it is not surprising that there is also Klang Bak Kut Teh Instant Noodles!

My daughter bought a pack of Klang Bak Kut Teh flavour instant noodles recently.

The Klang Bak Kut Teh instant noodles is from Kee Hiong which has been producing and marketing their Klang Bak Kut Teh herbs for years and exported throughout the world.

My wife has cooked Bak Kut Teh soup using the Kee Hiong herbs for years in Melbourne as their herbs are easily available at most Asian Grocers.

So I wanted to try the Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh Instant noodles and my loving darling wife cooked it for me 🙂

As my wife was cooking, I could smell the Bak Kut Teh aroma.

HOWEVER, the finished product, i.e. the cooked instant noodles in the bowl, smelt kind of odd!!! I guess it has something to do with the chemicals in the instant noodles mixing with the bak kut teh herbs.

As for the color of the bah kut teh instant noodles soup, it was kind of murky cloudy…. not like bak kut teh soup colour/texture but more like Japanese Tonkotsu ramen soup colour!

Taste wise, it is not great but at the same time not bad…… it is edible lah.

Oh yes, add some chicken meat to the Kee Hiong Instant Noodles and you get Chick Kut Teh Instant Noodle, haha.

Once a while, for a change, I guess I do not mind having the Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh instant noodles…. but then again, I can always ask my wife to cook real Bak Kut Teh Soup with the Kee Hiong herbs and buy Yoo Cha Kuih to go with it… heaven.
