CONCLUSION

Bro and Sis, in view Maybank’s TnC that will come into effect on 12th April 2024, below are my advice and if you do not follow the instructions then you only have yourself to be blamed and end up redeeming for useless items or cash vouchers which gives you less than 1% returns!

First thing you should do – convert your Treats Points and/or Membership Rewards Points to Air Miles before the end of the first week of April. If you do it on 11th April, you are to be blamed if shit happens.

After end of April, if you want to convert your Treats Points or Membership Reward Points to Air Miles, do it on the first day of the month…… each subsequent day after the first day of the month, the probability of you converting your Maybank Treats Points to air miles goes towards ZERO until first of next month.

Plan, if you know you are going to make a Biz Class or First Class air ticket redemption in the next 6 to 11 months, redeem your Maybank Treats Points or Membership Rewards Points asap and not last moment. For my case, I always try to have enough KrisFlyer Miles in my account so that I can redeem 2 First Class to Australia (for my wife and I) and also more than 100K Asia Miles in the event I see a First Class ticket to/from Europe.
