Enrich Hotel – How To Optimize With 5000 Enrich Points Off For Hotel Rooms

INTRODUCTION

It has been years since I introduced Enrich Hotels where we can use our Enrich Points to redeem for hotel rooms. This method where we use our Enrich Points for Hotel Rooms were good during Covid-era as we could not fly overseas OR if our Enrich Points were to expire soon.

In terms of using our air miles for hotel rooms, in my previous article and even YouTube video I have shown you that Enrich Points give you the best value compared to KrisFlyer Miles. Asia Miles and Emirates Skywards.

Generally, with Enrich Hotels, 1 Enrich Point will give us a value of approximately RM0.03. Which means we get better value from our Enrich Points if we fly Biz Class to Japan or Australia or Europe (London and Paris).

Enrich Hotels Promo 12th Feb to 29th Feb 2025

Current;y Enrich Hotels is having a promo where they will deduct 5000 Enrich Points off your hotel room booking. Because the Enrich Hotels’ Promo discount is FIXED at 5000 Enrich Points, what this means is that we can better value from our Enrich Points by booking “cheaper” hotel rooms. I will now show you some examples.

Example No.1 Hyatt Brisbane 26th to 27th March 2025

Enrich Hotel

From Enrich Hotels and after taking into considering the 5000 Enrich Points Discount, we will need 24,900 Enrich Points for the cheapest room if we do not have Enrich Gold or Platinum.

Agoda (not considering any discount with Maybank Credit Cards)

From the image below, the cheapest room at Hyatt Queen Street Mall Brisbane will cost is RM874 per night on 26th to 27th March 2025. Please note the price may have not included discount for Maybank credit cards.

So from the above, we need 24,900 Enrich Points at Enrich Hotels versus RM874 at Agoda. Therefore 1 Enrich Point is worth RM874/24,900EP = RM0.035.

You tell me if 3.5 sen for 1 Enrich Point is better than the value of 1 Enrich Point to redeem a Biz Class to Australia or Japan?

Example No.2 Ibis Style Elizabeth Street Brisbane 26th to 27th March 2025

We shall now determine the value of 1 Enrich Point for a cheaper room.

Below image shows we need 12,900 Enrich Point for a City View room at Ibis Style Hotel.

Or the other hand, at Agoda, the price of the City View room at Ibis Style on the same dates cost RM608 (without considering discount with Maybank credit cards).

So from the above Ibis Style Hotel, we need 12,900 Enrich Points at Enrich Hotels versus RM608 at Agoda. Therefore 1 Enrich Point is worth RM608/12,900EP = RM0.047.

Well RM4.7 sen for 1 Enrich Point for booking a room at Ibis Style is way better than 3.5 sen value for a room at Hyatt Brisbane.

Example No.3 W Hotal Brisbane 26th to 27th March 2025

Now I am going to show you a even more expensive hotel, i.e. W Brisbane.

From the above, 1 Enrich Point = RM1554/42,200 = RM0.0368. Hmm, it is even better than Hyatt Brisbane which is cheaper, hahaha

So in Conclusion, the 5000 Enrich Point discount is good BUT generally you should get better value for your Enrich Point if you book a room that need less than 15K Enrich Point per night.

And in the example of W Brisbane versus Hyatt Brisbane, it shows that you get different value for your Enrich Points depending on which hotel you wish to stay.

Sometimes Enrich Hotels do have very good promo even without the 5000 discount, so if you have lots of Enrich Points, do check out Enrich Hotels.

For me nowadays since Malaysia Airlines flies direct KUL to/from Melbourne, I do use Enrich Points to redeem Biz Class tickets and therefore I would pay for the hotel room using my credit cards.

Oh yes, you can set at Agoda the price to include any taxes at the very start (i.e. same as check out price) instead of only finding out the actual price after they include the taxes at check out.
