Grab has announced that “From 11 September 2024 onwards, a fee will be introduced for GrabPay Wallet top-ups using Credit Cards”.

In respect of the above image, well, you still can top up GrabPay Wallet with Maybank Grab Credit Card for FREE after 11th September 2024.

I really don’t know if the Maybank Grab MasterCard is any good today as nowadays I only use AMEX for my Grab Rides and Grab Food, i.e. I pay directly and not top up to GrabPay Wallet. If you use a Maybank Credit Card t(except for Maybank Grab Credit Card), to top up GrabPay Wallet you will earn nothing!!!

So which AMEX credit card I am referring too? Not the useless Maybank 2 Cards Premier that’s for sure as we now earn 1 air mile for every RM5 spent!

I have published many articles on just how useless is the AMEX Reserve after Maybank downgraded it to earn 2X Treats Points for Local Spending. Moreover I am sure many of you are pissed off with Maybank when redeeming for air miles with your Treats Points where the 100,000,000 Air Miles quota habis in less than 1 hour (on 1st Aug 2024)!!!

For those of you where your personal (not household which includes your partner) income) is less than what is classified as T20 in Malaysia, the Maybank Singapore Airlines AMEX Platinum is good if you are into KrisFlyer Miles.

If you are a cash back fan, then the card to get is Maybank Platinum AMEX-i.

However I do top up occasionally to my GrabPay Wallet to transfer to my mum’s Grab Account so that she can order food. So looks like I need to top up with one of my credit card which earns me something before 11th September 2024.

Grab Unlimited

So happened this afternoon I was showing to my friend that with Grab Unlimited I get FREE delivery and FREE Money for KFC and Baskin Robbins as I have joined Grab Unlimited.

You see, with Grab Unlimited I get 35% off whenever I order my Baskin Robbins and KFC but the FREE money is capped at RM10 (including delivery fee). Therefore since we can get FREE Delivery or Discounted Delivery FEE, break your order up lah…. if you separate them to 2 or more orders where each order must be minimum RM25.

Below is an example of a KFC order where I get RM7 off and FREE Delivery (there are several options for Delivery with discounted rate).

So if you do order Grab Food, it makes sense to subscribe to Grab Unlimited and currently there is a 2 months FREE trial. However you must remember to unsubscribe before the expiry date else you will be imposed the monthly fee as it auto renews.
