Today I’m leaving Florence for Venice.
FYI, the hotel I stayed in Florence is called Florence Dome Hotel which had a 3 Star rating. However this hotel does not provide free coffee, tissue, bar soap BUT it does give me fresh towels daily, free breakfast and the shower pressure is really good.

Right opposite the hotel
We took a taxi from our hotel to the train station and it cost me EUR15. Our train departed for Venice at 11.30am.
The train platform will only be announced 15 minutes before departure. We took the Bullet Train Business Class Coach and the journey took 2 hours.

Free water, coffee and snack.

Venice City Of Water
Right after exiting the train platform, you will see a shop selling Public Water Bus Tickets.

Left side is the shop selling the water bus ticket. Ask them how to get to the place you want to go and they will tell you which ferry platform and water bus number.

Water Bus Tickets
My hotel is located at San Marco and therefore I was told to go to ferry platform B and take the water bus number 2. It is really easy taking the water bus and Rialto was the second stop.
Out hotel was about 5 minutes walk from Rialto Water Bus Platform. The hotel has 3 Star and it is much better than the one we stayed in Florence because it provides FREE coffee, bar soap and tissue. The hotel receptionist was really friendly and told us that breakfast is included and best of all they provide a free tour of a glass making factory, including transport, to an island called Murano!
The hotel us very near to San Marco Square and Rialto Bridge.

Free coffee!
After checking in with the hotel, we went to check out Venice and I tell you, it is a really beautiful place.

Alle Corone, The Best Restaurant In Venice
My youngest daughter had made reservations at Alle Corone weeks ago. Alle Corone is ranked No.1 restuarant in Venice at TripAdvisor and also a Michelin recommended.
I tell you, you must order the Starter Flavor of Venice which was really really good. And the prawns too, perfect!

Must order this
