if you had been reading my articles, you will know that I have mentioned over and over again to avoid HSBC credit cards for air miles because their conversion rate is damn bad and they can suka-suka change their Terms and Conditions overnight!
I used to have a HSBC credit card but I had to terminate it to stop their pesky pest telemarketers to stop calling me!
Recently HSBC has been promoting their new Travel One MasterCard and a few people contacted me to ask if it is any good – and my answer to them is go see their conversion rate to air miles and you will conclude that all HSBC credit cards are useless!
But for the benefit of you who are blur or just started working and thinking of getting your first HSBC credit card, I have decided to teach you a thing or two – especially that you must determine how much you need to spend in order to get 1 air mile and not stupidly like most people who thinks 8X points for every RM1 spend is good.
Without further ado, I present to you HSBC TravelOne MasterCard Review and my YouTube – Click here to watch and learn.
For your easy reference, below is the table showing the conversion rate of HSBC TravelOne Points to Air Miles.
Conclusion
For Enrich Points, the credit card you must have is the Alliance Bank Visa Infinite or Platinum.

For KrisFlyer and Asia Miles, the best is Maybank 2 Cards Premier AMEX Reserve and Visa Infinite. And if you cannot qualify for the Maybank 2 Cards Premier, get the Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX or maybe even the FREE For Life Entry Level Maybank 2 Gold Cards AMEX.
In the above article, it shows that we now need 14K Treats Points to convert to 1,000 KrisFlyer Miles for the Maybank 2 Gold Cards. Therefore what this means is that you can earn 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM2.80 spent with the Maybank 2 Gold Card which earns you 5X TP Mon-Fri.
And if anyone tells you that AMEX is not good, that person know next to nuts.

For non KrisFlyer you can consider CIMB Travel Elite World MasterCard.
