Introduction
If you have been a die hard follower of GenX GenY GenZ for years, you will know that in 2019, I kept reiterating that Enrich Miles (today it is called Enrich Points) are useless. And the reason were:
- If you were an air mile fan, you would be holding the Maybank 2 Cards Premier where we can earn 5X Treats Points from Local Spending with the AMEX Reserve.
- The conversion of Treats Points to Enrich Miles (as it was called then) or KrisFlyer Miles and Asia Miles were the same.
- We need at least 114K Enrich Miles to redeem a Business Class with Malaysia Airlines KL to London BUT for 125K KrisFlyer Miles we can fly First Class and even Suite Class with Singapore Airlines!!!
Below are two screenshots (taken back in 2019) to show you how many Enrich Miles were required in 2019 to redeem a Malaysia Airlines Business Class KUL to LHR:

And below is an old image from my files where we can fly Singapore Airlines First Class (Boeing 777) and Suite Class (Airbus A380) Changi to London for 125K KrisFlyer Miles.

Another thing to note – is that we can enter the Private Room in Changi Terminal 3 when we are flying with Singapore Airlines 1st Class or Suite Class. The Private Room is another experience like no other airport lounge – today you get to sleep on a Tempur bed in the Private Room in addition to enjoying lobster and Hennessy XO.
Therefore, from the above, it was a no brainer that Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles give us better value considering the fact the conversion rate of TP to KrisFlyer Miles or Enrich Miles is exactly the same!
Here is a fact, most of you who are reading this are educated and can afford to experience Business Class ticket KL to Europe; BUT I am very sure not many of you, even if you are a millionaire, would burn your money on a First Class ticket KL to London with Singapore Airlines where you need to pay RM30K for a one way ticket!!!
On the other hand, with 125K KrisFlyer Miles, you can experience Singapore Airlines First Class or Suite Class for FREE from the Treats Points we accumulated from our Maybank Credit Cards.
