First the good news, on 1st February 2025 Maybank has increased the quota for air miles redemption to 2 Billion Air Miles. This is a pleasant surprised and it would cost Maybank Millions of Ringgit since they have to purchase the air miles.

Now comes the bad news, effective 22nd February 2025, Maybank will be inflating their redemption rates for air miles for cards that earns Treats Points!!!

For Maybank AMEX Reserve and Visa Infinite, come 22nd February 2025, the conversion rate will be 12,500 Treats Points = 1,000 Enrich Points or Asia Miels or KrisFlyer Miles!

What the above meas is that in order to earn 1 air mile, we need to spend RM6.25 (2XTP) and RM2.50 (5XTP) for local and overseas transactions respectively!

RM2.50 spent overseas for 1 air mile……. like I have told you for months get the UOB Visa Infinite and earn more air miles. Moreover, with the UOB Visa Infinite we can earn 1 air mile for every RM2 spent on local dining (minimum spending RM1K per month).

As for local transactions where we need to spend RM6.25 just to earn 1 air mile, l have told all of you for months to get the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express® Platinum Credit Card.

UPDATE 1st Feb 2025

As of 12.30am, after waiting for it to load like forever, I successfully redeemed KrisFlyer Miles with my Treats Points and the KrisFlyer Miles were instantly credited to my KrisFlyer Account.

At 1am there is no more lag and redemption for air miles still available…. 2 Billion air miles is 20X more than previous 100 Million air miles 🙂

Below image shows that at 12.45am it was announced that quota habis BUT….

If you click on the Menu > Categories > Air Miles there are still available. Below image was taken after 1.18am and we could still redeem for air miles.

I received a message at 7.30am from a Bro telling me he managed to call CS to redeem air miles.

At 10am I visited Treat Points webpage and saw same announcement above that quota habis but when I click on the Menu > Categories > Air Miles > KrisFlyer there is still stock.
