Introduction

Most of you would have the Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum Cards AMEX which earns you 5% cash back on weekends including for Petrol.

However, the monthly cash back for the Maybank 2 Cards Gold/Platinum AMEX is capped at RM50 or RM1K spending where most of you would use it to pay your Astro, Broadband (UNIFI), TELCOs (Celcom, Digi, Maxis & Telekom), Etiqa Insurance Premiums and Dining (McD and KFC).

In respect to the above, many people have very little remaining quota for Petrol. More so if they have 2 cars.

If you have been following me for years, you will know that besides the Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum Cards AMEX, I have also recommended the Maybank Islamic Ikhwan MasterCard that earns you 5% cash back for Groceries and Petrol every Friday and Saturday.

The most important benefit of both the above mentioned credit cards, i.e. Maybank 2 Cards Gold AMEX and Maybank Islamic Ikwan MasterCard, is that you earn 5% cash back at ALL petrol stations.

But actually for years there have been another credit card that earns you 100% more in cash back compared to the above mentioned credit cards! And I have reviewed it several times over the years.
