Recently I showed you guys how you can burn your KrisFlyer Miles which are expiring soon in my article titled The Best Ways To Burn Your KrisFlyer Miles.
Like I mentioned in the above said article, the Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is pretty cheap at KrisShop compared to the price for a bottle in Malaysia.
And because I could not fly here and there for close to 2 years, I have many KrisFlyer Miles and decided to burn about 40K KrisFlyer miles on 2 bottles of the World’s Best Whiskies Award 2015 winner.
And since I could not have the 2 bottles of Kavalan delivered to Malaysia, I once again arranged for them to be sent to a Bro’s place in Singapore whom I had previously also had a bottle of Remy Martin XO delivered to his place for safe keeping. Hopefully I can have a gathering with My Air Miles Disciples in SG soon and open the Kavalan and Remy Martin XO.
I ordered the 2 bottles of Kavalan early this week and it was delivered to the Bro’s place on Friday, super quick.
Below are photos of the Kavalan taken by the Bro – and with him placing his Singapore Airlines model plane makes the photo meaningful as it tells us that I got the bottles for FREE compliments from Singapore Airlines and of course my credit cards too 🙂
Well, the way the Kavalan Solist Vinho Barriques is packaged does try to represent some class – i.e. nice box, cert and serial number for each bottle.
The joke is – I have previously in KL bought a bottle of the Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique years ago after it won the World Whiskies Award and did not enjoy it!!! I tell you, the original Macallan 12 Years Sherry Cask is better anytime….. however there are many fake Macallan in Malaysia.
Like I said, the Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is damn cheap at KrisShop and that’s the only reason I bought them, hahaha. But then again, many of My Air Miles Disciples are whisky lovers and therefore might enjoy the Kavalan; but I am a Cognac lover. So when I have a gathering in SG, both whisky and cognac lovers get to enjoy what they like 🙂
