Update – Correction 16th May 2024

I woke up to some no so good news on Alliance Bank Credit Cards where a Bro and Sis forwarded to me Alliance Bank’s Announcement.

Effective 3rd June, there will be a capping on the 8X TBP for Online Transactions where it will be capped at RM3K per billing cycle.

The capping of RM3K per billing cycle apply to the Visa Infinite, Visa Platinum and Virtual Card. What this means is you have to keep track of your Online Transactions, e.g. not a mart move to purchase a RM5K gaming notebook from Lazada or Shopee.

We are still entitled to the 8X TBP for eWallets capped separately at RM3K per billing cycle.

For Dining, we are still earning 5X TBP.

I tell you, the Alliance VI and Platinum will be as good as useless soon. Why?

Because back in March 2024, Alliance Bank just inflated their conversion of TBP to Enrich Points. So it is a matter of time before they inflate again considering that Maybank has just inflated theirs.

So enjoy accumulating Enrich Points while is still worthwhile with the Alliance Bank Credit Cards.

Update – Correction 16th May 2024

On 16th May I received another email from Alliance Bank informing that there was a correction to the earlier announcement, so I had to go compare to the previous announcement to see what was the correction.

Well the correction is on the 5X TBP for Overseas, Dining and Groceries. No wonder I did not catch the earlier mistake because for Overseas, Groceries and Dining we have other credit cards that earn us more air miles, hahaha.
