Earning FREE Money with Cash Back Credit Cards

So if you have NO Outstanding Balance where you are paying interest, then we can talk about earning FREE Money with credit cards. Else you are just kidding yourself and best you keep all your credit cards in the drawers and stop using them until you are debt free!

In respect to the above, a person who has credit card Outstanding Balance will then perform 0% Balance Transfer……. but the fact remains is that person is still in debt and simply transferring his debt from one bank to another bank; and if the person still spends beyond his/her means, he/she will just continue to spiral down the shit hole of debt.

But like I said, if you settle in full all your credit cards’ Statement Amount prior to the Due Date, then we can talk about Earning FREE Money with credit cards.

There are a few credit cards that earn you cash back BUT I will tell you now the best credit cards to earn you guaranteed cash back are from Maybank! However, Maybank credit cards will earn you nothing from transactions related to Government, FPX, Jompay, topping up eWallets (icluding Shopee Pay Wallet and Lazada Wallet) and maybe even utilities (for selected cards).

Maybank 2 Platinum Cards or Maybank 2 Gold Cards

The Maybank 2 Platinum/Gold Cards AMEX has been around for more than 10 years and is still the best cash back credit card on weekends where you are guaranteed to earn 5% cash back for alm0st all types of transactions regardless over the counter or online.

The Maybank 2 Platinum/AGold Cards American Express earn you 5% cash back on essential transactions such at Petrol (BHP, Shell and Petronas), Groceries (AEON, Jaya Groces and even Speed 99), Telcos (CelcomDigi) plus Water (via Lazada Bills when you pay directly with the AMEX card), food at restaurants and other non-essentials stuff like movies, coffee, online shopping at Lazada/Shopee and etc.

The Maybank Islamic Ikhwan American Express Platinum Card-i is currently the best credit card for online transactions as you will earn guaranteed 8% cash back for transactions at Lazada, Shopee, Grab and etc (by choosing thr AMEX card as method of payment and not with amount top up to wallet). Like I mentioned earlier, you can use AMEX to pay bills (water, Telco, Unifi and etc) at Lazada.

With the 2 Maybank Cash Back Credit Cards mentioned above, we are talking about RM1,625 spending a month to earn minimum RM100 in cash back per month (can be more with the AMEX Plat-i). If your spouse can also apply for the above mentioned 2 cards, then we are talking about RM3250 spending a month where you can earn up to RM2600 per year in cash back!
