I dropped by Dan Murphy’s and saw that they had Ice Sphere Silicone Tray for AUD11.
I tell you, if you never tried your favorite whisky poured directly onto a ice sphere, you should try. Once I tried the Macallan Rare Black Cask poured into the ice sphere and it tasted fantastic.
The Ice Sphere tray can be easily available at 11st, Lazada and Shopee for less than RM20 and in various design.
You can also can create a Star Wars Death Star Ice Sphere to enjoy with your whisky with 🙂
My Favorite Whisky With Ice Sphere
Like I mentioned earlier, the Macallan Black Cask Rare tasted fantastic with the ice sphere when I tried it any my brother in-law’s place.
Anyway, I had two ice spheres made to try with my favorite whiskies – Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Years, Hibiki Japanese Harmony, Johnnie White Walker Limited Edition Games of Thrones and new to me the Kirin Fuji Sanroku Tarujuku 50°
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Years
Guess what, I did not enjoy the Johnnie Walker Green Label with the ice sphere!!! It tasted better with ice cubes!!!
Hibiki Japanese Harmony
Next, I tried the ice sphere with another favorite whisky on mine – Hibiki Japanese Harmony.
Well, guess what? Once again I did not enjoy the Hibiki Harmony with the ice sphere!
Johnnie Walker White Label
I do enjoy the White Walker straight from the freezer neat but with the ice sphere I did not enjoy it!!!
Kirin Fuji Sanroku Tarujuku 50°
I just opened this bottle to try in for the first time and I tell you, to my surprise I like it neat!!! Added a few ice cubes and it still tasted good. As for having the Kirin Fuji Sanroku Tarujuku 50° with ice sphere, well, it was not to bad but I prefer it with ice cubes.
So Bros & Sis, if you love your Whisky on the rocks, next time try your favorite whisky poured directly onto a ice sphere and see what happens…. you may enjoy your favorite whisky even more or just hate it, haha.
