Introduction – Maybank 2 Cards Premier is HISTORY
I have decided to publish this article for my die hard followers who are now “lost” considering the fact that the Maybank 2 Cards Premier AMEX Reserve now only earn us useless 2X Treats Points for every Ringgit spent LOCALLY.
Prior to December 2023, the Maybank 2 Cards Premier, especially the AMEX Reserve, was the best credit card in Malaysia for LOCAL spending to accumulate KrisFlyer Miles or Asia Miles.
The above said 5X TP for local spending with the AMEX Reserve is now history because the AMEX Reserve today only earns us 2X Treats Points from Local transactions. As for overseas, the AMEX Reserve still earns us 5X Treats Points. But what is the point of the AMEX Reseve now considering that the Maybank Visa Infinite which also earns us 2X and 5X Treats Points for every Ringgit spent Locally and Overseas respectively.
And seriously, UOB Visa Infinite actually earns us more air miles per Ringgit spent overseas compared to Maybank2 Cards Premier.
With respect to the above, I am now declaring that the Maybank 2 Cards Premier is now as good as useless and I am no longer stupidly promoting it for Maybank, haha.
However, I am going to tell you this, do not cancel/terminate your Maybank 2 Cards Premier yet….. after you complete reading this article only go and apply for the other Maybank credit cards which I am promoting for FREE, once you get the new credit cards, then you can go cancel the Maybank 2 Cards Premier before your card anniversary date, haha.
