If You Are An Air Miles Fan, You Would Have Converted All Your Treats Points To Air Miles In February 2025 And Stopped Using Most Of Your Maybank Treats Points Credit Cards. As Such We Can Now Convert Our Treats Points To Air Miles In March and April 2025!

Back on 31st January 2025, I told all of you that Maybank is inflating their Treats Points for Air Miles again effective 22nd February 2025. And because of this, Maybank was kind of generous to offer 2 billion air miles for redemption in the month of February.

In respect to the above, I told you all not to be stubborn but take the opportunity to convert all your Treats Points to air miles, especially those with Maybank 2 Cards Premier.

The Good and Bad News

First the Bad News -Maybank’s Premier Credit Cards are kind of useless today.

The Maybank Visa Infinite and Maybank AMEX Reserve both earns you 2X Treat Points for Local Spending, which means we earn 1 air mile for every RM6.25 spent! This means in order to earn 100K KrisFlyer Miles or Enrich Points, we need to spend RM625K!!!

As for overseas spending we can earn 5X TP, which equates to RM2.50 spent to earn 1 air mile. Therefore we still need to spend RM250K overseas to earn 100K air miles. Compared to UOB Visa Infinite, these said Maybank Premier Credit Cards are kind of absurd making us spend more than double the amount required to earn 100K air miles!

Having said the above, unless you can spend like RM80K per year with the Maybank Visa Infinite Manchester United on groceries, then maybe this said card is good. But heck if you have the Maybank Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum, you would also earn 1 KrisFlyer Miles for every RM2.50 spent on groceries (AEON, Jaya Grocer and even Speed 99).

Therefore the Maybank Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum is more versatile as you can earn 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM2.50 spend over the counter not only from Groceries, but also Petrol. As for online transactions (e.g. Shopee and Lazada), you would earn 1 air mile for every RM2 spent.

So with the bad news comes the Good News

Because Maybank gave all the opportunity to convert their Treats Points to Air Miles in Febraury, most people would have done so. Therefore, not many have Treats Points remaining to redeem in March!

A Bro messaged me ysterday, 31st March 2025, that he could still convert his Treats Points to Enrich!!!

So today at about 11.30am, I went to Maybank Treats Points website and I could still redeem air miels!

So what does the above means?

It means (1) most people would have redeemed their Treats Points for air miles in February 2025 and (2) the smart people have stopped using their Maybank Premier Cards for transactions and (3) my die hard followers have gotten the Maybank MB VI to shiok sendiri only and not using it, hahaha.
