A Sis pointed out to me that Alliance Bank has also revised their annual fee waiver condition effective 1st August 2025. So I went to Alliance Bank Announcement once again and was shocked to note that it is stated DISCONTINUED effective Aug 2025!
In the above link, scroll down to Table 5 – Alliance Bank Credit Card Annual Fee Waiver & Conditions; and if you are using a smartphone you may need to scroll to the right to the the new condition – where it is stated Discontinued!
And below the above said table, the notes below were stated:
Note: Annual Fee will be waived for the first year. Lifetime Annual Fee Waiver applies to Visa Basic, Virtual Credit Card, Customers with Home Financing Facility in Alliance Bank, Alliance Privilege Customers (Visa Infinite, Visa Signature and Visa/MasterCard Platinum) and Alliance so unPersonal Customers (Visa Signature and Visa/MasterCard Platinum only).
So unless you have a Home Financing Facility or Privilege Banking Status, then your Alliance Bank Credit Cards are FREE FOR LIFE.
So what are the annual fees? Below are the credit cards’ annual fee copied from Alliance Bank website:
So if your card anniversary is on or after 1st August 2025, make sure you check your Transaction History and/or Statement to see if you are imposed any annual fee. If yes, then you may have to beg for annual fee waiver and hopefully you do not need to terminate your Alliance Visa Infinite (which is good for overseas spending only) and/or Visa Platinum.
