CIMB e Credit Card
Technically and unless CIMB extend the promo, there will be an annual fee of RM100 for the CIMB e Credit Card in 2026.
Having said the above, even if CIMB imposes the RM100 annual fee, this card is still excellent as we earn 12X CIMB Bonus Points for Online Transactions on 28th of every month!
However, it is imperative that you know that the Bonus Points earned will be capped at 20,000 Bonus Points per cardholder per statement cycle!!!
In respect to the above, what it means is – this CIMB e Credit Card is good for up to RM1666.67 ONLINE spending on 28th of every month.
So based on 62.5K CIMB Bonus Points to convert to 5K Enrich Points, it means you are earning 1 Enrich Point for every RM1.041 spent! Freaking fantastic.
As for KrisFlyer Miles, we need 75K CIMB Bonus Points to convert to 5K KrisFlyer Miles, this means we are earning 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM1.25 spent! Also freaking fantastic.
Now as I mentioned earlier, if CIMB does impose the annual fee of RM100, it can also be easily recovered within 2.5 months as we can convert 50K CIMB Bonus Points to RM100 cash back. Which means you can earn 9.5 months x RM40 in cash back!!!
Or looking from another angle, you can earn 19.2K Enrich Points or 16K KrisFlyer Miles a year with RM100 fee! So kedekut people who do not know simple math will miss out on this fantastic CIMB e Credit Card, hahaha.
Now, as I showed all of you part of CIMB Credit Card TnC in Page 1, you will earn nothing today if you use the CIMB e Credit Card to top up eWallet. Previously when the CIMB eCC was launched, we do earn CIMB Bonus Points from topping up eWallets; but this is now history. That is why you must always read the latest TnC as it can change over night!
Another thing I should highlight, a few of My Air Miles Disciples told me that they did not earn any CIMB Bonus Points when they use the CIMB eCC on 28th to pay their Insurance Premium via Online. You can try and you will know within a month if you do earn any CIMB Bonus Points with your CIMB eCC.
