Well it is RHB’s turn to inflate their rewards program….. effective 17th October 2024, Reward Points earned with RHB Credit Card/-i will be segregated into 2 different categories, namely:
o LoyaltyPlus points
o Loyalty points
So what the heck are LoyaltyPlus Points?
LoyaltyPlus points are earned from eligible Overseas, Local Airlines, Local Hotel or Local Travel transactions.
Enjoy 10x LoyaltyPlus points for eligible Overseas spend if the total eligible monthly spend is RM10,000 and above.
In respect of the above, please read carefully… it did not mention 10X Points for Local Airlines or Local Hotel but Foreign Currencies Transactions of minimum RM10K per month.
The above itself kind of make the RHB LoyaltyPlus Points kind of useless for most of you.
Now here is the bad news!
Effective 17th October 2024, the redemption with your current RHB Credit Card Points should be inflated as it will fall into the Loyalty Points category:
For my case where I have RHB Premier Visa Infinite, the current rate is 8000 Reward Points = 1000 Enrich. Therefore come 17th October 2024 it will be inflated by 87.5%!!! OMG!
For the rest of you with Visa Infinite or Reward Card, the new rate for Enrich Points redemption is even worst come 17th October 2024 where you need 24,100 Reward Points!!!
As for the LoyaltyPlus Points, the redemption rate it is still not too bad for Enrich Points if you have RHB Premier Banking Visa Infinite BUT heck you will need to spend RM10K per month overseas to earn 10X LoyaltyPlus Points!!!
Anyway for those with RHB Card, below is a table for RHB Premier Visa Infinite which would also give you a guide if you hold a Visa Infinite or Reward Card:
In respect to the above image, those with RHB Premier Visa Infinite will still earn 8X LoyaltyPlus Points for overseas transaction if you spend less than RM10K per month.
With 8X Points, it means we will earn 1 Enrich Point for every RM1 spent overseas.
However, with 8X Loyalty Plus Points for Overseas Transactions, we will earn 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM1.75 spent overseas which is worst than Maybank Visa Infinite or UOB Credit Cards!

CONCLUSION
Come 17th October 2024, RHB Reward Credit Cards are basically useless UNLESS you have RHB Premier Visa Infinite where you do spend overseas AND you are into Enrich Points.
