INTRODUCTION

This is a must have card as it earns you 5% cash back for Petrol and Groceries every Friday and Saturday. When this card was first launched in 2014, only the Principal card was entitled to the 5% cash back.

To my pleasant surprise, Maybank revised the T&C for this card in 2015 and now Supplementary Cards are also entitled to the 5% cash back for Petrol and Groceries. However, the monthly cap for the cash back is RM50 combined with Principal and Supp Card(s).

BENEFITS OF THE MAYBANK ISLAMIC MASTERCARD IKHWAN PLATINUM AND GOLD CREDIT CARDS

First and foremost, the Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Platinum and Gold Credit Cards are FREE FOR LIFE, i.e. no conditions whatsoever, i.e. no minimum swipes and you don’t have to spend a sen with it. Therefore, you do not need to call Customer Service and waste your time begging for annual fee waiver like we have to for other credit cards.

5% rebate on petrol and groceries on Friday and Saturday, capped at maximum of RM50.00 per month (Principal and Supplementary Cards combined).

Charity Fund. With every spending the Bank will contribute 0.1% for charity purposes.

I tell you, Maybank is freaking generous, they are the only bank now in Malaysia that gives you FREE FOR LIFE Entry Level credit card that earns you 5% cash back for Petrol at all stations.

And like I have been saying, Maybank is freaking generous. It is the only bank in Malaysia that offers FREE FOR LIFE Entry Level Credit Card (minimum annual income RM30K) with 5% cash back for all petrol stations; thereby assisting those who desperately need some cash back (to assist in today’s freaking high cost of living) from Petrol and Groceries.
