BEST CREDIT CARD FOR AIR MILES
Basically Air Miles Fans who use credit cards to earn air miles can be categorized into 2 categories – i.e. (1) Enrich Points Fans and (2) Enrich Points and other Frequent Flyer Programs Fans which means more than one specific Air Miles to experience more different airlines and fly to more places on planet earth.
Before I proceed any further, I want to first recommend the best credit card for overseas spending so I get it out of the way before we dive into what credit cards for Local Spending.
The Best Non-Exclusive Credit Card for Overseas Spending – UOB Visa Infinite or UOB PRVI Miles Elite
Effective 23rd September 2024, UOB inflated their Air Miles Redemption Program. However, even with the inflated UNIRinggit required to redeem air miles, it is still way better than Maybank Premier or CIMB Premier credit cards!
With the UOB Visa Infinite (non-Privilege Banking) and UOB PRVI Miles Elite, we earn 10X UniRinggit for overseas transactions. The current conversion is 12K UNIRinggit = 1K Air Miles. This means we earn 1 Air Mile (Enrich or KrisFlyer or Asia Miles) for every RM1.20 spent overseas which is way better than most credit cards where the eligible income to qualify for them is below RM180K per annum.
For comparison, we earn 1 Air Mile with every RM2 spent overseas with the Maybank 2 Cards Premier Visa Infinite and AMEX Reserve.
As or CIMB Travel Wold Elite, even if you do earn 10X CIMB Bonus Points, this means you are earning 1 Enrich Point and 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM1.25 and RM1.50 spent overseas respectively.

I have produced many articles to show that one is a fool playing Enrich Points simply because Malaysia Airlines does not offer First Class AND having the same number of KrisFlyer Miles as Enrich Points one can experience First Class with Singapore Airlines which most of us are too kedekut to pay, hahaha.
But despite me reiterating over and over again, many are still into Enrich Points. I must admit that today I prefer to fly with Malaysia Airlines directly to a specific airport which Malaysia Airlines flies to instead of wasting time transiting at Changi…… but I already experienced Singapore Airlines Suite Class & First Class several times, Emirates First Class A380 and Game Changer, JAL First Class London to Haneda and Qantas First Class A380.
Many of us can afford to experience Business Class, for examples (1) recently Maybank had a Buy 1 FREE 1 Biz Class promo with their Visa Infinite and (2) many Middle East airlines offer promo Biz Class return tickets to Europe.
So my advise to you air miles fans is accumulate KrisFlyer Miles to experience First Class asap as in the future it will be harder to experience it as Credit Card Issuers and KrisFlyer Miles Redemption Program will just keep inflating so much so in the future we will only able to redeem Economy Class tickets with our credit card points!!!
