Alliance Bank Credit Cards

Firstly, thanks to a Sis who pointed out to me, there will no longer be any annual fee waiver mechanism for all Alliance Bank Visa Infinite and VisaPlatinum Physical credit cards….. unless you have a housing loan or Privilege Banking status. I had to therefore revise/revamped the contents in this article.

Alliance Bank Visa Infinite

Effective 1st August 2025, the Alliance Visa Infinite is kind of useless for Local Transactions where we only earn 1 Enrich Point for every RM15 spent!!! (Based on current conversion of 15K TBP = 1K EP).

However, for Overseas spending, the Alliance VI will earn the cardholder 10X TBP which equates to 1 EP for every RM1.50 spent which is not too bad. But I guess for Dining, one should be using the HLB VI overseas.

Another thing, please note that with the generic UOB VI (non Privilege Banking), you can earn 1 Enrich Point or Asia Miles or KrisFlyer Miles for every RM1.20 spent overseas. Please also if you can spend RM1K or more on dining per month with the UOB VI, you can earn 1 air mile (Enrich or KrisFlyer or Asia Miles) for every RM2 spent.

Alliance Visa Platinum (Physical Card)

Well, the Alliance Visa Platinum only earns the cardholder 1 EP for every RM5 spent overseas which is not good at all.

As for 5X TBP for Petrol and Groceries, which works out to 1 EP for every RM5 spent, I tell you, just go play Cash Back Credit cards and you will earn much more in return.

Alliance Virtual Platinum Visa Credit Card

It is stated in Alliance Bank’s Announcement in July 2025 that – There are no changes to the current features of Alliance Bank Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card.

And best of all, this Alliance Virtual Credit Card is FREE FOR LIFE.

What the above means is that in August 2025 and until further notice, we can still earn 8X TBP from topping up eWallets and also for Online Transactions. Please note each category is capped at RM3K spending per month.

8X TBP based on current conversion rate means we are earning 1 EP for every RM1.875 spent for Online and topping up eWallet.
