The Best Top Credit Cards In Malaysia 2026 For Cash Back, Balance Transfer, Airport Lounge And Comprehensive Review Of Enrich Points versus KrisFlyer Miles versus Asia Miles

The Best Credit Card for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles

The Best Credit Cards in 2026 to earn you KrisFlyer Miles are NOT necessarily FREE For Life:

CIMB eCC (click here to read my review) – good on 28th of every month for Online Transactions where we will earn 12X CIMB Bonus Points. Based on the conversion of 75K CIMB Bonus Points = 5K KrisFlyer Miles, this works out to 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM1.25 spent.

Please note you are to check on CIMB eCC annual fee waiver on or after 1st January 2026.

Maybank Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer American Express® Platinum (click here to read my full review) – this said card earns you 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM2.50 and RM2 for over the counter and online/overseas respectively. The KrisFlyer Miles are then automatically credited monthly into your KrisFlyer Account.

In respect to the above, the Entry Level Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum is way better than Maybank Premier Credit Cards!!!

And here is another joke, the Maybank 2 Cards AMEX Gold/Platinum earns us 5X TP on weekdays; with conversion of 20K TP = 1K Air Miles, it means we earn 1 Air Mile for every RM4 which is also better than Maybank Premier Credit Cards (VI and or AMEX Reserve) for Local Spending!

The Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum also grants you 5X FREE Access to Plaza Premium Lounges worldwide! Plus if you are into Golf, it also offers 4X FREE Green Fees to selected courses.

The Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum is not free. There is an annual fee of RM300 after the 1st year. However, if you do spend RM30K annually with the Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum, I am pretty sure Maybank will waive the annual fee when you call their CS.

UOB Visa Infinite (non Privilege Banking) for Local Dining and Overseas – If you do spend RM1K per month on Local Dining, you will earn 1 Air Mile (KrisFlyer or Enrich or Asia Miles) for every RM2.40 spent. For overseas you will earn 1 KrisFlyer Miles for every RM1.20 spent. The 2nd year and subsequent annual fee is waived with RM50K spending BUT you can always beg for it to be waived.

Maybank Visa Infinite Manchester United for Groceries – where you will earn 1 Air Mile (KrisFlyer or Enrich or Asia Miles) for every RM2.50 spent. You MUST spend RM80K per year for the 2nd year and subsequent annual fees to be waived. Now if you buy groceries from a Supermarket or even Speed 99 where AMEX is welcomed, then this card is not necessary if you have the Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX.

FREE For Life Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum Cards AMEX for retail spending on Weekdays where you will earn 1 Air Mile for every RM4 spent which is better than Maybank Premier Credit Cards that earn you TP for Local Spending! But this card will not be necessary if you have the Maybank KrisFlyer AMEX Platinum.

Maybank Visa Infinite Manchester United for places where AMEX is not welcomed. I can only think of this non-Super Premium Card where it earns us 1 Air Miles for every RM6.50 spent locally excluding transactions related to Insurance, Education, Utility, Government, JomPay, FPX and eWallets top up. I tell you, as far as earning Treats Points, this is the only Maybank Visa Infinite you need because it also earns you 5X TP when MU wins a match based on UK date and you get 5X FREE access to lounge too, However, you MUST spend RM80K per year for the 2nd year and subsequent annual fees to be waived.

FREE FOR LIFE CIMB Travel Platinum MasterCard – where you will earn 1 KrisFlyer Mile for every RM7.50 spent. Good for places that does not accept AMEX and you do not have the Maybank VI. Please note for CIMB credit card, auto-debit are not entitled to Bonus Points, e.g. Insurance Premiums.

Once gain in order to OPTIMIZE, you can replace the Hong Leong Bank VI with Maybank Visa Infinite (there are many) to earn KrisFlyer Miles in the Optimizing Example for Enrich Points.

There are other credit cards that earn you more KrisFlyer Miles compared to the credit cards mentioned above for various categories; however these said cards are Super Premium Cards where the minimum annual income is about RM200K or more. So if you do spend like RM100K with a credit card and earn more than RM200K p.a., do some research and you will be benefit greatly.
