Cash Back Credit Cards
Seriously, if you spend less than RM3K per month, cash back credit cards will benefit you most.
However, all of us will eventually realize that playing cash back credit cards make no difference to our lives. You see, the cash back earned is credited into the credit card account to offset the bill, thus we will never get to feel or earn anything!
Therefore, if you are a cash back credit card fan, best you listen to my advice by clicking here to read my tutorial titled GenXβs Simple Engineered Hack To See You Wealth Grow With Cash Back Credit Cards.
Back in June 2024, I had a Cash Back Project for My Air Miles Disciples to prove to them that we can really earn a lot of FREE money from Cash Back Credit Cards plus with Shopee Coins (I have nothing better to do and therefore play Shopee Live Stream and Games and can earn easily RM30 in cash back to pay bills per phone per month)! All of us were to follow the instructions in the above said article, where we must deposit any cash back that we earned to a specific bank account (in my case I use GX Bank which allowed me to create many individual pockets to deposit the cash back I earned from each Cash Back Card, Lazada and Shopee). Well I earned more than RM5K FREE money between June 2024 and November 2025!
RM5K can get me a AirAsia Premium Flat Bed return ticket KL/Melbourne (we can get below RM2.5K for a one-way Premium Flat Bed KL/MEL during sale) and more than enough for a Business Class ticket one-way KL-Tokyo with Malaysia Airlines during off peak!
In respect to the above, that is why I teach My Air Miles Disciples to optimize by playing BOTH Cash Back Credit Cards and Air Miles Credit Cards.
Air Miles Credit Cards
For years I have been reiterating over and over again to My Air Miles Disciples that they must use their KrisFlyer Miles to redeem for Suite Class and Emirates Skywards for First Class because eventually we can only earn enough air miles for Economy Class!
I promised My Air Miles Disciples that they are guaranteed to experience Singapore Airlines Suite Class and all of them who joined my project pre-covid not only earned FREE KrisFlyer Miles from thin-air to experience Suite Class BUT they also accumulated enough Emirates Skywards to experience the wonderful Emirates First Class!!!
Emirates Biz Class and First Class
Today, most of My Air Miles Disciples and I can no longer redeem Emirates First Class ticket because one needs to have Silver Status to redeem a First Class ticket with Emirates and most of My Air Miles Disciples and I only have Blue status, hahaha.
Having said the above, there are ways to experience Emirates Biz Class and First Class where I produced an article titled Hack On How To Fly Emirates Business Class With Less Skywards Miles And Pay Less (click here to read it). One of My Air Miles Disciple managed to utilize this said hack to allow his wife, 2 children and himself to experience Emirates Biz Class to Europe.
Enrich Points
Earning Enrich Points with our credit cards is generally good because we get to fly direct from KL and TODAY we need less Enrich Points compared to KrisFlyer Miles for Biz Class to London/Paris only or Australia IF AND ONLY IF we can get a Malaysia Airlines Enrich Biz Class Saver.
Occasionally Malaysia Airlines will offer discount for redemption and thus we will need even less Enrich Points compared to the usual Enrich Saver Option (example we may only need 65K EP during a sale compared to the normal 75K EP for a one-way Biz Class KL to Melbourne) PLUS we can get 10% – 20% Bonus Enrich Points twice a year when we convert our Credit Cards’ Reward Point to Enrich Points.
Another thing I have observed over the years, I can redeem a RETURN Business Saver Option KUL/Melbourne where I need 75K Enrich Points per way. It is the same where I will only need 75K Enrich Points when I can can secure a one-way Business Saver Option KL to Melbourne. BUT if I were to just redeem a Malaysia Airlines one-way Business Class Melbourne to KL, I will need more than 100K Enrich Points!
Also, during Peak Period we may need ridiculous number of Enrich Points to redeem a ticket regardless Economy or Biz Class Therefore I am also going to show you why we should play many Frequent Flyer Programs, for UOB and Maybank, we can convert or Reward Points to not only Enrich Points or KrisFlyer Miles but also Asia Miles.
Why You Should Also Play KrisFlyer Miles
Today, in order to fly with Singapore Airlines Suite Class to Europe or Australia, we need many more KrisFlyer Miles and it is slower to earn KrisFlyer Miles from genuine spending compared to pre-covid.
In respect to the above, the Good News is we now have Scoot Award Chart for KrisFlyer Miles!!! We only need 14K KrisFlyer Miles to redeem a one-way Economy Class Scoot ticket KL to/from Australia and we can even depart from Subang! And we only need 1500 KrisFlyer Miles to redeem a one-way ticket with Scoot KL to/from Singapore. Recently I redeemed a one-way Scoot ticket Subang to Singapore with 1500 KrisFlyer Miles and only had to pay RM59!!!
If you did not know, the price of Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia tickets are high during peak periods (e.g. during Australia School Holidays) and we need ridiculous Enrich Points too regardless for redeeming an Economy or Business Class ticket. This is where the Scoot Economy Class becomes a freaking good deal.
Below is an example for 18th September 2026 (more than 8 months from the date I drafted this article) where you will see that AirAsia (RM1.6K) and Malaysia Airlines (AUD901) tickets are high for one-way Mel to KL.
As for Enrich Points, it is kind of high during Peak Periods. Once again below is for 18th September 2026 which is more than 8 months from the date I drafted this article and not last minute where we may need even more Enrich Points.
KrisFlyer worst still, we got KF miles also cannot get confirmed Saver Option for 18th September 2026 which is more than 8 months away from the date I drafted this article. Only WAITLIST are available for Economy and Business Class too for Saver Option. We can go with Advantage or Access but that will need much more KrisFlyer miles.
But Scoot we can get ticket on 18th September 2026 Melbourne to KUL using 14K KrisFlyer Miles and pay AUD118.26 (including choosing seat and Check-In Baggage).

Now, here is the joke, if you were to select Melbourne to Singapore on 18th September 2026 with Scoot, there will be no tickets for redemption!!!
Oh before I forget, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes are very good where we need less KF miles, so check your email every month and you may be surprised.
Here is another good news shared by My Air Miles Disciple – we can now redeem a Malaysia Airlines Biz Class ticket London to KL using KrisFlyer Miles. This is indeed freaking good news because most of time we need ridiculous Enrich Points to redeem a one way Biz Class ticket London to Kuala Lumpur whereas KrisFlyer Miles are FIXED.
An Example To Show You That KrisFlyer Miles is better versus Malaysia Airlines Enrich Points
Below is an image showing that you can use 114K KrisFlyer Miles to redeem a one-way Malaysia Airlines Biz Class LHR (London Heathrow) to KUL – all you need to do is search Partner Airlines at KrisFlyer Website. At Malaysia Airlines App, I need 181.7K Enrich Points!!!
In addition to the above, here is why you should always also check Star Alliance at Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer website. Below images show that there are no confirmed Saver Option KUL to Tokyo but when you select Star Alliance you can get confirmed tickets!
Below is an example for KUL to Narita Tokyo:
Below is example KUL to Haneda Tokyo
You Should also play Asia Miles – (1) because we need less miles versus Enrich Points or KrisFlyer Miles for the same departure point to arrival point and (2) we get to depart from airports all over the world and fly to more destinations compared to just playing Enrich Points where Malaysia Airlines only flies to London and Paris in Europe.
Playing air miles we must be flexible and the best is to fly during off-peak period. For example, Peak Period to Europe is in Summer where not only it is hard to redeem a Business Class ticket KL to Europe but the hotel rooms are costlier too.
So for those of you who do spend more than RM200K per year and own Super Premium Credit Cards where you can convert to Enrich Points, KrisFlyer Miles and Asia Miles (or even Emirates or Turkish), this will give you many more options instead of having just one Frequent Flyer Program. For Example, you can redeem a Malaysia Airlines Business Class KUL to London on 11th November 2026 with 108K Enrich Points and return from Copenhagen with Singapore Airlines to KL on 18th November 2026 with 114K KrisFlyer Miles.
Now I am going to give you a pleasant surprise, with Asia Miles we can redeem a Biz Class from Europe to KL one-way (or vice-versa) with only 89K Asia Miles – less than the minimum 108K Enrich Points or 114K KrisFlyer Miles! Below image shows we can use Asia Miles to redeem a Qatar Airways one-way Business Class London LHR to Kuala Lumpur (KUL with just 89K Asia Miles.
And we can redeem Malaysia Airlines flight with Asia Miles too! Below is an example where we also need 89K Asia Miles to redeem a one-way Biz Class LHR to KUL:
Why are the above one way from London important you may ask? This is because there are many Malaysians residing in UK or you may have a child studying there; therefore being able to depart London with less KrisFlyer or Asia Miles is way better than Enrich Points.
For My Air Miles Disciples and I, usually we will fly to a Destination in Europe and return back to KL with another airline. Example 1 – we can fly to Zurich and return from Amsterdam as most of us have been to London; and that’s why a one-way Biz Class ticker departing from many cities in Europe are important to us. Example 2 – I am flying Biz Class to Munich next year using Asia Miles and returning from Nice with Emirates First Class π
Considering the fact that we need the same amount of Credit Card Reward Points to convert to either Enrich Points or KrisFlyer or Asia Miles with our UOB or Maybank Credit Cards, it makes more sense to convert to Asia Miles IF we can secure a ticket.
Asia Miles can be very good. You see, we need less Asia Miles compared to Enrich Points to redeem a Business Class seat with Malaysia Airlines!!!
Below is an example where we only need need 63K Asia Miles to redeem a one-way Biz Class Melbourne to KL with Malaysia Airlines compared to (1) Malaysia Airlines 108K Enrich Points (please remember – if we redeem RETURN KUL/MEL than we may be able to redeem a 75K Biz Class ticket Melbourne to KL) and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer 75,500 KrisFlyer Miles.
The only thing about Asia Miles is you need to check piratically everyday as non-Cathay Pacific flights are subjected to other airlines’ offerings. In other words, you may see that there is no ticket to redeem for the date you want today but it does not mean you won’t get to redeem the ticket tomorrow or later!
The point of above is, check Asia Miles too before you redeem your ticket using Enrich Points or KrisFlyer. For Maybank, the Treats Points we convert to Enrich Points or KrisFlyer Miles are instantly credited into our FFP Account. On the other hand, Asia Miles may take a few days before it is credited into our account. For other cards, generally for Enrich and other FFP Miles are credited in 3 working days or less. So plan ahead if you intend to fly and not 3 to 6 months before your intended departure date. Now, last minute, say a week before you fly, sometimes there are tickets available too. For example, you may get a one-way Biz Class ticket KL to Melbourne with EVA Air using KrisFlyer Miles!
As for Singapore Airlines, they might released Business Class and First Class tickets for redemption a week or two before the departure date (which is not good for planning but great for those who can fly anytime they want).
In conclusion Asia Miles is the best to redeem a Malaysia Airlines Biz Class ticket versus Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles versus Malaysia Airlines Enrich Points….. that is if we can get to redeem, haha. Therefore best you check 6 months in advance before your intended departure date with all FFP including their Partner Airlines and then decide which FFP you want to convert from your credit cards’ Rewards Points.
