I managed to redeem a Suite Class with Singapore Airlines on Airbus A380 Melbourne to Singapore to KL in November 2018 and Pepsi accompanied me on this wonderful experience.
I am pleased to present to you my report:
9.30pm Melbourne Time
Took the Free (FREE IS THE BEST) Tram Ride complimentary of Melbourne City to Southern Cross Station to catch the chauffeur driven super double decker human transporter to the airport.
Seated on the upper deck of the human super land transporter with 180 degree view and was raining.
10pm Melbourne Time – At the Check-In Counters
Economy Class check-in, damn troublesome for people like me who can’t follow simple instructions by machines… and the Drop Bag Q damn long…..
BUT I was not flying economy (which I usually do) on that particular rainy day…. I’m flying Suite Class đŸ™‚ For Premium Economy, Business and Suite Class, we are checked in by our fellow humans.
Pepsi heading to Suite Class Check-In Counter
Got our boarding passes, Suite Class to Singapore and Business to KL
I tell you, Melbourne is one of the worst International Airport not far behind KLIA2 (where we need to walk and walk and walk) because there is no Smoking Room after Immigration. So I have to fork out my hard earn money to buy coffee to go with my fags!!!
11pm – After taking a couple fags. I headed for Security Check and Immigration.
One of the Duty Free Outlets which is located just before the Departure Gates had Hibiki Harmony Master Select (Limited Airport Edition) in stock!!! So I fast fast bought a bottle without any second thoughts.
11.30pm – SilverKris First Class Lounge
At the counter the reception told me that I am invited to the Private Room in Changi which is fantastic but I only have about an hour in transit!!! Let’s see how it goes. But thanks to the people at Singapore Airlines, I will at least get the opportunity to take a few photos there for your sake đŸ™‚
I have tried the Business Class Lounge prior to this visit and it was pretty good, so I expected the First Class Lounge to be even better and I was not disappointed as the meals were freshly prepared.

JW Blue Label, Macallan 12 and even Hennessy VSOP!

I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and Laksa
12.30pm Melbourne Time – I Boarded the Airbus A380
The Chief Steward introduced himself to me and also the Leading Stewardess and shortly followed by the In Flight Manager. I tell you. they were the most courteous, friendly and ever ready to serve cabin crew I ever met in my life. The In Flight Manager even offered me the double bed option but I told her it makes no difference to me if I were to sleep on a single bed BUT I wanted to take photos of the double bed (for you guys, hahaha) and she gladly complied to my request. Throughout the flight, they made sure my needs were met in terms of comfort and food are concerned.

I selected a window seat and because there were not many people on board, they prepared the bed for me in the suite in front of me.

Curtains lowered

You can shut the door for complete privacy
And here is a video to show you my lounge suite and my bedroom – buy one free one đŸ™‚
Below photos are for the middle seats where they can be converted to a double bed.

I tell you, the Chief Steward was fantastic, I told him I wanted to take a photo of Blue Label together with Krug and Dom and he happily brought the bottles to my suite.
I did try the Dom Perignon but ended up ordering my favorite Hennessy XO. I tell you, just because they serve Hennessy XO, it is good enough reason for me to want to fly with Singapore Airlines Suite Class again, haha.
I pre-ordered the Lobster and it was pretty good considering it is not live lobster.
5.35am Singapore Time
The plane landed in Singapore on schedule. And since I have an invitation to the Private Room, no matter what also I must go check it out and of course take some photos to show you guys.
I reached the SilverKris Lounge at 6am. Took a few puffs at the smoking area just beside it.
My flight to KL was in Terminal 2 at Gate F35, I was told by the SilverKris Lounge receptionist that the Terminal 3 Lounge is nearer to the Gate compared to the Lounge at T2 because the Sky Train to T2 stops near Gates F!!!

The receptionist personally lead me to the Private Room
What I really wanted was the French Toast but because I had to catch my connecting flight at 7.05am, I had to settle for the Quick Breakfast Menu so I had Nasi Lemak which was pretty good. And of course I dropped by the Smoking Area before I headed to Terminal 2.
CONCLUSION
I tell you, the Suite Class “room” was freaking spacious for a single passenger and coupled with the excellent service of the Singapore First Class Cabin Crew which consist of the In Flight Manager, Chief Steward. Leading Stewardess and Leading Steward, the experience was amazing.
Singapore Airlines has been voted the Best Airline In The World and after my Suite Class Travel, I fully agree that they rightly deserve the title.
So, Bros & Sis, listen to me, do not go burn your air miles on Business Class but instead you must experience Singapore Airlines Suite Class and you will thank me for the rest of your life for this invaluable advice.
Oh yes, if you are traveling with your partner, forget about the centre suites which can be converted to a double bed. Instead, both of you should separate on opposite ends (window suites) and enjoy the moment in your own private suite and have some private time for yourself.
